Webinar: 2020 Elections: 2 + 2 = ?

On 19 November, 2020 at 19.00 PM the Margaret Thatcher Centre of Georgia hosted the webinar - 2020 Elections: 2 + 2 = ? in frames of the project “Thatcher Talks” with the support of the partner organization the Atlas Network. The event was online, organized under the Zoom platform.

Ms. Marie Eliadze, the moderator and the Chairwoman of the Margaret Thatcher Centre of Georgia delivered the opening remarks, whereas the distinguished guests – Mr. Gia Nodia, Professor at Ilia State University, Mr. Davit Sikharulidze, the Chairman of Board at the Atlantic Council of Georgia and Mr. Giorgi Mshvenieradze, the Chairman of Georgia’s Democratic Initiative, provided the in-depth analysis of 2020 Parliamentary Elections of Georgia.

The panelists discussed the challenges associated with Georgia’s democratization process retrospectively throughout the last 30 years. The distinguished guests also spoke about the action plans of the government and the opposition, as well as the input of the demonstrations.
