On May, 26 2021 The Margaret Thatcher Centre of Georgia hosted the discussion dedicated to Georgia’s
Independence Day at business-centre Terminal.
The keynote speaker – Mr. Giorgi Badridze, a former Ambassador of Georgia to the United Kingdom and
Senior Fellow of Rondeli Foundation – gave a brief overview of historical context on how Georgia gained
and restored its independence, also discussing the processes that shaped Georgia’s path to
independence and still have an impact over the country.
The discussion was followed by the Q& A session, with attendees expressing interest towards the
associated challenges and Georgia’s foreign policy.
The event took place with the support of Atlas Network – a partner organization of the Margaret
Thatcher Centre of Georgia – in frames of the “Liberty Unchained” Project.
