On June 28, 2021 The Margaret Thatcher Centre of Georgia arranged a meeting with well-known writer
Lasha Bugadze on the topic “What Unifies Georgia?”
During the meeting, Lasha Bugadze gave a brief introduction on historical evidence and modern
developments, reflecting on common values for Georgian society which remained remarkably well-
consolidated back in 20th Century. The discussion also involved the associated challenges to modern
society which remains essentially polarized.
The meeting took place with the support of the partner organization Atlas Network in frames of the
“Liberty Unchained” project.
