The Margaret Thatcher Centre of Georgia announces the essay competition "Freedom Writers" with the generous support of the Atlas Network on the selected topic: Economic Freedom = Political Freedom.
The competition seeks to address issue of political economy and to encourage its comprehensive analysis; based on the argumentative position, the contestants are supposed to analyze the interconnection of economic and political freedom and to answer the following questions: why it is important to have an economic freedom? What opportunities does it create for individual and state-led freedom? What is political freedom all about and how one can achieve it?
The competition is open for all persons from 18 to 30 years who believe in the idea of freedom and liberal values.
The deadline for the submission of essays is 10 November.
The contestants are required to meet the following criteria:
- The essay should be submitted into Georgian
- Number of words: from 1000 to 1200
- The essay should have a title
- Format: Word
- Font: Times New Roman
- Font size: 12
- Line spaceing: 1.5
- The essay will be checked for plagiarism/ should have applicable footnotes if needed
- The essay should entail the argumentative analysis of the author

After the competition, we will announce 3 winners who will be awarded on 20 November.
The winners will be awarded with royalties and their essays will be published at the website of the Margaret Thatcher Centre of Georgia.
